In October will start the project “FotoComunitat – How do we live in Poble Sec (and beyond)?
This project aims to visualize through participatory photography the diverse cultural realities and the different visions of young people about what it means to live in their neighbourhood (especially in Poble Sec, where Nexes is located), raising awareness about the richness of cultural diversity.
That’s why we now open a call to all those interested in the project, both from Poble Sec and other neighbourhoods and cities. With all those interested and with the backing of some youth organisations and the library of Poble Sec, at the beginning of October we will create a group of young people who will accompany us in a course of FotoComunitat (in 2 days) and in the creation of a small photographic exhibition that we will circulate around the city.
The FotoComunitat course will promote meeting moments and will touch on: technique and composition, the narrative of images, rediscovering our environment, creating our history, we go out into the street: exploring the photographic eye, how we communicate our message, selection of images, preparation of the photographic exhibition.
Soon in Nexes social networks we will give you more information and the dates of the two days of October (morning and afternoon) in which the training on participatory photography will take place.
Check the poster and participate!
Write to us as soon as possible at firstname.lastname@example.org indicating “FotoComunitat” as concept and explaining why you are interested in participating.
The project is funded by Barcelona’s Council
