The European project “Quality Label for Badge Recognition” is ending.
During 2 years (April 2023 – April 2025), our goal was to establish a quality standard for Open Badges issuers, who seek better quality and wider recognition of learning activities and outcomes.
“Quality Label for Badge Recognition” is a KA2 european project developed by Breakthrough Foundation (Netherlands), TiPovej! (Slovenia), Nectarus (Lithuania), Assonur Association (Sardenia, Italy), Nexes (Spain), BalkanIdea Novi Sad (Serbia).
During the partnership, the consortium was able to do desk research regarding digital certification systems in their countries. This made it possible to develop badge recognition strategies and to create a Quality Label standard for badge issuing. It was also possible to do training for badge issuers, a seminar for experts and local events.
Some results of the project:
- Research and analysis of recognition systems and quality standards.
- 6 country-specific and 1 European badge recognition strategies and stakeholder engagement.
- Developed a standard training certification programme on digital badge recognition.
- Developed standard multiplying activities, digital learning activities (Playlists) and resources on quality badge recognition.
- Expert recommendations for wider badge recognition.
- Piloted Quality Label standard for Badge issuers, incl. documentation and technical solution.
