Hello to all the people who are reading this, I am Mireia, a 22-year-old girl who is very clear about her passions but is in the process of knowing how to pursue them in the world of work. In July I graduated from a degree in international relations. During my four-year career I have focused on the Middle East, racial, ethnic and religious tensions and conflicts and how social harmony can be achieved in a diverse society. I have not only explored these issues at an academic level but also with stays in the United States, Singapore and Lebanon and from an institutional point of view with internships in the Middle East department in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Since I am a child I have practiced many sports but my favorite is dance especially jazz and hip hop. I also love listening to electronic music and 2010 (my dream is going to a concert by David Guetta). I used to read a lot and now it is a habit that I am losing but if I fall in love with a book in two days I have already read it. I am a very sociable person and I love to talk and meet people even though my social drum is not too long. I love food, really, it’s one of my biggest joys. I am also a very curious person who fascinates him to travel and get to know different countries and cultures. Now a little more than a month ago I started doing internships in Nexes. I discovered Nexes thanks to a colleague, he told me about the European Solidarity Corps. At that time I was preoccupied with the concern that I would do once I graduated and then all the options had to be explored. In addition, I have volunteered for many years in different organizations so I have always had a great interest in organizations that do social projects. On the CES portal I found Nexes and it was love at first sight: I felt very identified with her values and her projects. What caught Nexes’ attention was his commitment to projects related to interculturality, migration and non-formal education, among others. In this month and a half that I have been in Nexes I have not only met a fantastic team but I have also had the opportunity to contribute to very interesting projects and meet people with very varied profiles. I believe that life is a sum of experiences that enrich you and this is, without a doubt, a very important one.
