This year we are excited to continue working on the ApS Migrarratives project in its third edition!
Migrarratives is a project aimed at transforming migration narratives in Barcelona’s neighborhoods. The project enhances citizens’ awareness of the right to refuge, movement, and migration while also making discriminatory attitudes visible in order to challenge and reverse them.
The project supports and guides young students from two high schools, encouraging them to become agents of social change and share real migration stories within their schools and with the local community. They will achieve this by creating the Migrarratives Routes, which they will lead as guides during a special event.
The learning and service process is approached from a gender and human rights perspective, under the framework of Global Justice, linking the global dimension of migration and displacement to the local reality.
As always, we carry out this project in collaboration with the International Civil Service of Catalonia. This year, the project is being developed with students from Manuel Carrasco i Formiguera High School in Vilapicina and Montserrat High School in Sant Gervasi, where we have already started with the workshops.
