Hello everyone!
I’m Roxanne, originally from Bologna, Italy, and I’m currently doing my internship at Nexes Interculturals as part of my master’s degree, with a main focus on Culture of Peace.
My fascination for languages and cultures led me to travel around Southeast Asia and Australia after finishing high school, which I consolidated with a degree in Foreign Languages and Literatures, specialising in English and Chinese.
After the pandemic, I decided to redirect my career towards sustainability and climate emergency. I learned by doing, travelling around Europe and volunteering with environmental associations in Portugal, Germany and Denmark, while completing courses on sustainability and climate change. This experience reinforced my values of respect for the environment and my conviction that small actions have a big impact.
Barcelona marked a turning point. I was captivated by its multicultural and innovative environment, and here I found the Master in Social, Environmental and Economic Sustainability of the CEI – Centre for International Studies. This Master has provided me with key tools to face global challenges and has reaffirmed my commitment to contribute to a more just and sustainable future.
Now, I am pursuing my path at Nexes, applying my knowledge in Culture of Peace, International Mobility and Training projects. This experience has been very formative and professionalising, allowing me to continue to grow and contribute in areas that I am passionate about.
Outside of work, my passion is dancing, my most genuine form of expression, especially if I can do it in nature. I also enjoy learning something new every day, and in recent years I have focused on botany, a field I continue to explore on my own.
Thank you for taking your time to get to know me. I am at your disposal for any questions and happy to share this journey towards a more sustainable world.
