At Nexes we are still immersed in the development of the Equality Plan, a process that began at the end of 2023.
The diagnosis phase of the Equality Plan ended last summer. During this phase, the Plan’s driving team carried out an analysis of the results of surveys and internal data collected. This analysis has provided us with an x-ray of the current state in aspects such as the distribution of tasks, equal pay and the general perception of the work environment, among others. To ensure that the results were shared and discussed openly, they were presented in a plenary meeting with the entire team, pursuing transparency and the involvement of everyone in the process.
Likewise, we have continued to work together with the team through participatory dynamics, a strategic decision seeking collective construction and the value of active participation, while promoting awareness among all workers. The last participatory session, in November, focused on identifying good practices that we believe would be positive and important to incorporate (or maintain) in the entity.
Our goal is to obtain an Equality Plan that is not just a static document, but a living and real tool that addresses the different forms of discrimination in an intersectional way, incorporating the different voices of the team and considering the multiple identities that make it up. Committing to a collaborative diagnosis, transparency in the results and collective work spaces facilitates effective involvement of the team, moving towards a culture of zero tolerance for inequalities that responds equitably to the needs of each one.
This process is being co-financed by the Barcelona Provincial Council through the Department of Feminism and Equality.
