Migrantour Barcelona: interculturality in motion

It’s been 3 Wednesdays since we started the training sessions with our future intercultural accompaniers and… We’re having a great time! We are from Algeria, Mali, Syria, Senegal, Cameroon, Argentina, the United States, Sierra Leone, Mexico and many others. As you may have already understood, we are forming a very intercultural group to offer even more diversified routes! Between personal stories, migration stories and the history of the Raval, we discover each other’s world and build our Migrantour world, little by little, together. Until the end of December, we will be working hard to start the year 2023 with new routes and stories to share with you.

In November we participated in the 20th edition of Ravals of the “Tot Raval Foundation” in two events. On the one hand, on Friday 4 November in a round table: Inspirantional views of proximity tourism, where we had the opportunity to share a debate with projects that promote another way of looking at tourism, such as the cooperative Aethnic or the critical vision of the academic Ernest Cañada.

On the other hand , we were able to share with 20 people the vibrant story of Karina, our intercultural companion, during the  Raval tour. A Sunday full of emotions, where we had the luxury of having incredible audiovisual coverage, with Beteve and the audiovisual cooperative CREARSA.

At the same time, Migrantour Barcelona was participated in the 3rd edition of Argumenta: a cycle of debates of reflection in various civic centres of the city. On this occasion, the Amazigh writer Asmaa Aouattah, the presenter of Beteve Marta Ballesta and Alberto Tarragó representing Migrantour Barcelona were present, the theme was “An intercultural look at time”.
